What to find in Ion

The freezing mountain air can be felt in Mairai. The Place is known for its cold summers and even colder winters.
Tanwoi and Kaithai are two cities taking most of Mairai's land. The Gaidinians living there are usually not so open to strangers, being as cold as the ground under their feet.
Tall buildings made of stone, fireplaces and lots of furs or a fire Nyanarr in the family - that's what keeps these Gaidinians warm.

Mairai
The “capital city” of Overade. It’s one of the biggest cities in all of Gaidinia, harboring a huge population of Gaidinians. Often nicknamed the fashion capital, Miwai is well known for its modern architecture that frequently unitizes a lot of glass. Its citizens have the reputation of having an open-mind towards new things and people. It’s said that Kealeth loves to secretly visit the city and see how full of life it is. She doesn’t always bring along her Kemuchiis, who are left wondering about her whereabouts. They always try to find the goddess where she should be, to no avail.
The Towns of Mairai

- Mairai is close to Zhrugh, one of the hottest parts of Gaidinia, but the place is still very cold. That shouldn't be possible, should it? Some Gaidinians say that Mairai was cursed by an ancient god to remain forever cold.
- Some say that the Air Nyanarr Deity considers this place to be their home.
- The place is known for the greatest hunters of all time. Some consider this fact to be good, others not so much.
- To become an official citizen of Tanwoi, one must be born there. It's a bit easier in Kaithai - you must live there for five years and get an approval from The Council.
- The architecture of Mairai can be best described as a medieval architecture. The important buildings are massive in size, while the peasant houses are small.
- Many merchants sell fur here, but not all the fur is equally good. The Mairaians can spot an "inappropriately obtained" fur as it's said that the spirits of the hunted animals will simply let them know.

Interesting facts

Tanwoi
A city with tall walls made of grey stone. It could even be considered a fortress. The place is ruled by a strong Kyome who declared himself the King of Tanwoi. He has already lost his Dreamer but he made a deal with the Dream Council to stay and rule the land. The Kyome might be an inspiration to some - to find a purpose other than their Dreamer, but many dislike him for the exact reason. It's not a tradition, perhaps he could be considered progressive. His ruling not so. The Kyome is strict, sometimes too strict. The citizens of Tanwoi consider him fair though.

Unlike the other city, Kaithai is more open to those not born in Mairai. But even so, it takes a while to get used to the strange looks by those who live in the city. The city is ruled by a council. While Tanwoi is very closed, Kaithai takes care of all of Mairai (except the other mentioned city). The council has a rule to include one of each species. Currently it's an Air Nyanarr, a Thalemimi, a Corrupted Kyome and a Present Kemuchii (the Time Deity of Present, Elhm, agreed that the Kemuchii may be a part of it, but they are still the deity's servant.) Most of the buildings of Tanwoi are made of grey stone - just like everything in Mairai.
